Nora Meyer
Nora studied painting at St Martins and City and Guilds before enrolling on the Documentary Directing MA at the National Film and TV School. She’s directed documentaries on a range of subjects including the Labour party, the Israeli Army, and her brother’s battle with addiction and HIV/AIDS. Taking an intimate and conversational approach, her films tend to focus on the tension between the personal and political. They have been broadcast on BBC Storyville, Channel 4 and Al Jazeera in the UK, and screened at major festivals worldwide. Nora started painting again when she had a child, and is now making personal work which brings together her film and fine art practice. Her day job is developing and producing scripted TV shows and films based on true stories.
