The Bomb Factory Art Foundation is spearheading a partnership with the Kensington and Chelsea Council to breathe new life into the Earl's Court District Centre. As part of this initiative, we are inviting our resident artists to transform the streets and shopfronts of Earl’s Court with a series of vinyl art commissions.
Earl's Court Road has a rich history of diverse communities, most notably as a significant meeting place for London’s LGBTQ+ community, particularly during the vibrant 1970s and 1980s. The area was home to an abundance of venues, club nights, and businesses, alongside community organising and political activism.
Our vinyl project is the first in a series of initiatives designed to showcase the artistic talent within the area and pay tribute to the wealth of creativity present in the community. This initiative is part of a broader scheme titled Revitalising Earl's Court Road, aimed at improving and rejuvenating the high street. We look forward to celebrating the work of our resident artists along the high street.
