This August we are hosting free creative workshops at the Bomb Factory in Archway for the local community, including Zinemaking, Collage, Cyanotype Printing and Ceramics.
Cyanotype Printing for 12 - 21 Year Olds
Join Lina Ivanova for a cyanotype workshop at The Bomb Factory Foundation. Cyanotype is
one of the oldest printing processes, developed by John Herschel in 1842. Using UV light,
absorbent materials and cyanotype chemicals, participants will be taken through the process
step by step to create their own prints with found objects. Lina is a multidisciplinary artist,
teacher and co-founder of Revolv collective.

Zine-Making for 11 - 16 Year Olds
Zine-making workshop with Mia Maxwell of London-based zine and radical publishing house
FEM Zine. Learn to voice your stories using collage, typography, drawing and whatever you
can bring to the table in a DIY workshop to make your own magazines.

Collage Workshop for 12 - 21 Year Olds
Led by Artist Ibrahim Azab, this workshop invites participants to create a short series of
images made through magazine cut-ups. Using a range of techniques and materials, this
workshop will provide a better understanding of constructing and deconstructing images and the everyday. Tackling issues such as globalisation and the environment through photography, sculpture and collage.

Ceramics for Women with English as a Second Language
Hosted by ceramicist Noa Weintraub, this is a 2.5 hour introductory session to clay, exploring
the hand-building methods of coiling and pinching.
You will learn how to create a pot using the coil and pinch technique - one of the oldest forms of pottery-making and still used throughout the world today. There will also be an opportunity to decorate your creation using coloured slips, and decoration techniques. Suitable for complete beginners.
